Today I Am Grateful For My Son Reading To Me

Ethan is 6 years old and read an entire book to me last night. I was crying while he read to me, which he found "weird". If you too are a parent, you know why I was so emotional.

It's amazing how fast they grow up and become independent. I am so proud of him and so grateful, that for once he can tell me a story, instead of the other way around.

I can understand that, totally. Just when my 18 month old can fill in words to stories in Dr. Seuss's "The Eye Book" or "The ABC Book." So, an entire book? That's huge.

By the way, your husband bragged about your bargain grocery shopping, and I have loads to learn from you. My family and I have have been living in Colorado for a little over a year. Perhaps that's part of the struggle, and maybe I'm just a novice. Need help!

Totally with you on that. I get very emotional when any of our childrne learn new things. Being a homeschool family is BLESSING that I don't want to take for granted. Makes me remember how GREAT our Maker is!!!
