Spring is in the air, which means yard work for most.
This year, instead of treating your garden and plants with pesticides, go ORGANIC!

The pollutants are not healthy for you or the environment.
The good news is that there are so many options for treating plant disease and pests the NATURAL WAY.

are a fantastic way to keep those aphids away. You can purchase them at most garden stores for a very reasonable price. Another solution is using Coffee Grounds as a fertilizer. Starbucks offers bags of coffee grounds for free near their EXIT DOOR. Ask a Barista for assistance if you do not see it. How many times do you get the opportunity to walk away with something FREE! Take advantage of it.

Here are some basic recipes from the HOMEMADE book for your gardening needs.

Household bleach
Boiling water

Prepare a solution of 5% bleach and 95% boiling water
Douse weeds with the solution, wait a day and check for withering. If the weeds resist, increase the percentage of bleach and repeat.

Sprigs of fresh rosemary
Sprigs of fresh basil
Sprigs of fresh thyme

When you remove food from the grill, spread out a handful of pungent culinary herbs on the rack of the grill where they will smoke, but not burn.
Allow the herbs to cook and release their insect repelling fragrances.
